Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
Correct. The quote tool only needs gender, date of birth, tobacco use, your general health, coverage amount, and term length—six answers that carriers use to show rates. Contact information is not required until you choose to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
These are the rates each carrier quotes for your selected health class. The carrier sets the actual premium after underwriting, which may confirm the class you chose or move you to a different tier. Quotes shown here are for informational purposes only and are not a guarantee of any final price.
What happens when I click Apply?
Your answers continue into a secure application run on the carriers' platform, prefilled with the information you provided. You can pause and resume the application whenever you need to. Electronic signatures complete the process, and Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed insurance agency (License 0B75129), handles all applications.
Will I need a medical exam?
It varies by carrier and what amount you are applying for. Many carriers now support accelerated underwriting, which means some applicants can get approved without a medical exam. Each quote on this site indicates whether the carrier typically requires an exam, might require one, or will not require one.
Is a longer term better?
The term should match when you need the coverage. If you have a mortgage that will be paid off in 20 years and children who will be independent in 15 years, a term of 20 or 25 years covers your obligation. Longer terms cost more per month but lock in your rate for longer. This site lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30-year terms.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote form does not ask for your name or phone, we do not sell or share any visitor data, and our measurement system uses no cookies or trackers. The privacy page lists exactly what this site collects and does not collect.
